Ready to skate

Competitors in the 14 and under category line up just prior to the skateboarding competition, held at Weyburn's skate park on Thursday night. The show was organized by Street Invaders, a multi-denominational Christian youth group who visited Weyburn over the past two weeks. Roughly 100 people showed up that night at the Youth Centre, both as spectators and competitors. There were so many entries in the 14 and under category that competitors were limited to one minute to display their tricks.

Full stands for Lipizzaners show

The grandstands at Weyburn's exhibition grounds are full as the emcee for the Lipizzaner Stallions show urges the crowd to applaud to bring on one of their acts on Wednesday evening. The stallions and their handlers demonstrated many moves, from basic dressage to moves perfected for military use as the breed was developed over the centuries. The show was choreographed to classical music.
