Happy 100th birthday Saskatchewan!

Bailey Kenway shows off her opera-glass style of glasses with the number 100, which has special significance this weekend, as Saskatchewan officially turns a century old on Sunday, Sept. 4. A big party is planned for the day at the Weyburn exhibition grounds, with many Centennial souvenirs to be had, perhaps even some homemade ones like these glasses. The Centennial will be capped at 9:39 p.m. on Sept. 4 with a half-hour pyro-musical fireworks show, choreographed with music and narration. Residents of Weyburn and surrounding areas are urged to attend the festivities, and to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the fireworks show at the end of the day.
