Shooting Up and Down Again

Amber Ward shoots a scene for "Up and Down Again," a small self-produced feature she and her husband Jeremy Cleek (at left) shot in 2004. While Jeremy wrote the screenplay and directed the feature, she was his technical director and camera operator, complimenting his artistic vision with her technical expertise. The pair are now editing the film and hope to have it travel the digital film festival circuit.

Walking the Marathon of Hope

Sign-carrying Haig School students Skylar Fellner, Kyle Mryglod, Lacey Dieno and Havyn Mann march through Jubilee Park on Friday as part of their school's Terry Fox Run Marathon of Hope. Although the Terry Fox Run was actually held on Sunday, students from around the city marched in honour of Terry Fox on Friday morning. Haig was joined at Jubilee Park by St. Dominic Savio, Assiniboia Park, the Weyburn Junior High and St. Michael School. Souris held their Terry Fox Run at River Park, while the Comp and Queen Elizabeth held their run at the high school's outdoor track and Souris Valley grounds.
