Celebrating Walk-To-School Week

A group of bus students from Assiniboia Park School walk part of the way to school with principal Vickie Betker on Thursday morning. To mark International Walk-To-School Week, a fitness initiative held on Oct. 3-7, the bus students were let off at 13th Street near the Jubilee Park entrance, and they walked the remainder of the way to school up 13th Street, accompanied by a school staff member.

Reaching to tip the ball

Both girls and boys teams played in the after-school matchup, with the girls winning one and losing two very closely-matched games.
