CMHA art group

Artists Blaine Allen, Gordon Stairmand, Barry Styre and Carolyn Gervais show some of their artwork at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) building on Wednesday. Allen, Stairmand, Styre and Gervais are members of the CMHA art group that meet every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to draw, paint and talk about art. They will be holding a nart show at the CMHA building on Monday, Dec. 12 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Some of the artists will be selling their work as well at the show.

A Red Wings reading buddy

Red Wings player Chad Anderson listens as St. Dominic student Drew Fellner reads to him, during a visit by the hockey team to the school on Thursday afternoon. The players helped with students or took part in classroom activities, and handed out game tickets as well, during their visit. The Wings will visit most of the schools in the Weyburn area to encourage students to come out to their games with their families.
