Brightly lit for Christmas

The home of Kevin Ruckaber glitters and shines with Christmas cheer. Ruckaber said he estimates there are over 2,000 lights on his home, located on Government Road North, and it takes him several hours over a number of days to get them all up. This is one of many dozens of homes in and around Weyburn that are brightly lit up for the Christmas season.

Bundled up for a cold Parade of Lights

A group of youths manning the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce's float wave as they cuddle under a blanket to try to keep warm during the Chamber's annual Parade of Lights on Dec. 1. The evening was cold with some light snow for the parade, which went from the exhibition grounds up Prairie Avenue and then down Third Street through the downtown area. A bonfire with hot chocolate and carol singing by the Comp's STARS Show Choir wrapped up the evening.
