The Stoughton-Tecumseh Fire Department and Lampman Fire Department will each receive cheques for $5,000 from their local Esso agent, Universal Contract Logistics.

From April to November of 2005, farm customers and staff of the Esso agent helped raise a total of $10,000, with Esso contributing up to a penny a litre of farm fuel sold during this time.

The funds were contributed to the Esso Farm Community Growth Fund. The funds locally will help provide for the purchase of new life-saving fire equipment for the Stoughton and Lampman fire departments.

The cheque presentations were made on Friday at each of the fire departments.
