Wheat sheaves at sunset

Weyburn's distinctive steel wheat sculptures stand in silhouette in a prairie sunset, reflected in the waters of the Souris River. The agricultural symbols on the main thoroughfare through the city were welcoming to the many visitors to Weyburn this year, particularly during Homecoming Week held for the province's Centennial in August.

Mural painter at the Family Place

April Dammann shows one of the murals that she has completed at the Family Place on Thursday. Dammann usually spends mornings working at the Family Place and in the afternoon, when she is not busy, she draws murals on the walls. A lot of her work can be seen throughout the building.
