CBC Radio host Sheila Coles, left, jokes with Weyburn
business owners Andrew and Alison Shanaida during an interview
with them on her morning show, broadcast live on Monday morning
from the T.C. Douglas Centre. The Shanaidas spoke to her about
why they came back to Weyburn from Alberta to set up their machining
business as a part of the local oilpatch, while local residents
were able to sit in to hear the live broadcast. The CBC interviewed
a number of local residents also about Tommy Douglas, including
Don Goranson and Hugh Alexander, in conjunction with the release
of the new movie about the life of Tommy Douglas which will air
on March 12 and 13. |
