Flowers beautify downtown core

Jaynie Himsl, President of the Horticultural Society, admires the SE Cornerstone School Division Adopt-a-Planter in the downtown area on Friday. The Community in Bloom committee will be announcing the winners of the Adopt-a-Planter program on Sunday, July 30, at a social and welcome evening for the judges of the 2006 National Edition Communities in Bloom. The judges of the competition will then be touring the City of Weyburn on Monday, July 31. City residents are urged to make every effort to beautify their yards for the national judging.

Making loaves of bread

Dressed in vintage clothing, Krystal Glowatski and Alisa Sonnenberg make loaves of bread at the Heritage Village on Wednesday. Heritage Village offers visitors a chance to look at the past during the summer season, and is preparing for its Heritage Days on Friday August 11 and Saturday August 12.
