Rounding the barrel

Weyburn rider Haley Coderre rounds the first of three barrels in a cloverleaf pattern during the barrel-racing event of the Weyburn High School Rodeo, held Sept. 2 and 3 at the Weyburn exhibition grounds. Other events for the rodeo included bull riding, steer wrestling, bareback and saddle bronc riding, breakaway roping, tie-down roping, pole bending and goat tying. High school rodeo athletes came from all the province, including the Weyburn area, for the two-day rodeo.

Haig fruit and veggie sale held

 

Parent Tammy Oberg helps daughter Mackenzie buy an item from the Fruit and Veggie Sale at Haig School, as classmates Alex Watson and Megan Tessier watch from left, along with Callahan Huebner, Tanner Jensen and Austin Russell at right. The sale was held Wednesday by the Haig Home and School Association, with the proceeds to be used for any needs within the school.
