Heading for the hat trick

Paige Van De Sype rushes towards the goal during the Weyburn Comprehensive School Eagles girls soccer game on Sept. 12 at Jubilee Park. Van De Sype went on to score three goals as the Eagles defeated the Assiniboia Rockets 4-0. Weyburn's next home game in the Moose Jaw High School Soccer League will be Tuesday, Sept. 26 against Caronport at 4:15 p.m. at Jubilee Park.

Savio Singers practice

St. Dominic Savio teacher Denise Schmidt works with a side group who does echoes and parts as the main group of the Savio Singers sings in the background, during rehearsal on Thursday morning. The singers were rehearsing for the Centennial Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, held on Sunday, and then for the United Way Communithon coming up in October. Most schools will have choirs and bands performing at the 25th anniversary of the Communithon fundraising broadcast.
