Making old-fashioned ornaments

Queen Elizabeth students Sarah Clampitt, Brooke Alexander and Kimber Nielson add bright colours to homemade Christmas tree ornaments in preparation to decorate a tree at the Soo Line Historical Museum. A number of city schools decorated trees at the museum in the old-fashioned way, with ornaments made in the manner of pioneer days, out of whatever materials were on hand, such as paper chains and popcorn strings.

Stuck between her feet

Lindsay Ferguson of the Penta Gold Wings battles for the puck with a Notre Dame Hounds' on Wednesday at the Colosseum. The first place Hounds went on to defeat the seventh place Gold Wings 10-1. The next action for the Penta Gold Wings will be on Wednesday, Dec. 13 as they take on Melville at 7:30 p.m. at the Midale Arena.
