Playing 'The Bugler's Dream'

The Grade 7 Band's trumpet section plays the key part of The Bugler's Dream from the 2002 Olympic Fanfare, as part of the Weyburn Junior High's winter band concert held Wednesday evening in the school gymnasium. From left are Alex Kakakaway, Lindsay Jacob, Josh Lees, Cody Kravanya, Kelly Oberkirsch, Aaron Verbeem, Brett Twist and James Fedun. Also performing at the concert were the Honour band, Grade 8 and 9 bands, the WJH Choir and Jazz band.

Fighting off defenders

Dylan MacDonald and Zach Maurer from the Weyburn Junior High defend against Kyle Paterson from St. Michael School. On Saturday at the Cobras' home tournament, the St. Michael boys squad lost 39-34 to the Weyburn Junior High and beat Estevan in their final game by one point, while the Weyburn Junior High lost to Estevan. For the girls, the Tigers defeated the Weyburn Junior High gold team and lost to the Cobras black team.
