Weyburn Public Library readies for anniversary

Children of the pre-school story-time play with balloons and noise-makers in the children's section of the Weyburn Public Library on Thursday. The Weyburn Public Library is preparing to host a come-and-go tea, along with a special commemoration by dignitaries, on Friday, Jan. 19, to celebrate 40 years in the Southeast Regional Library system. Juggling act

Weyburn goaltender Kyle McConnell juggles a Kindersley Klippers shot during the Red Wings' 5-1 loss on Friday at the Colosseum. McConnell was picked up by the Red Wings at the trade deadline on Wednesday from the Grande Prairie Storm for future considerations. Weyburn's next game will be tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 17, in Yorkton.
