Outdoor booths sold out for Sask. Oil & Gas Show

All of the outdoor booths have been sold and very few indoor booths remain for the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show on Wednesday, June 6 and Thursday, June 7, at the Weyburn exhibition grounds.

Currently, about 83 per cent of the indoor booths have been sold. In the Colosseum, 77 per cent of the booths have been sold while 69 per cent of the booths in the Sports Arena have been sold.

"It is looking good actually," said oil show manager Marlene Nedelcov. "We are in the process of getting two luncheons lined up."

Currently, the awards luncheon is planned for Wednesday, June 6 and is put on by the board of governors from Calgary. On the evening of Tuesday, June 5 after set up, there will be a golf tournament as well as a steak and lobster supper put on by the Weyburn Red Wings.

On the evening of Wednesday, June 6 , the Southeast Oilman of the Year will be named. The Weyburn Young Fellows will also hold a pit roast beef supper. Nedelcov said that the roast beef supper is very popular and it is usually sold out.

The executive board members of this year's Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show are chairman Darcy Cretin, vice-chairman Ron Carson, past chairman Ray Frehlick, co-ordinator Stan Runne, co-ordinator Ron Jeffery and manager Marlene Nedelcov.

The other board members include Nola Nikolejsin, Darryl Ward, Jim Hutt, Bill Wynnychuk, Sandy Alexander, Laurence Woodard, Don Sealy, Mel Watson, Doug Dammann, Michael Mainil, Jim York, Doug Emsley, Jim Kopec, Del Mondor, Mark Schneider, Dennis Krainyk, Johnny Johnston, Rennie Zazula, Perry Schell, Darren Woodard, Trevor Pandachuk, Ken Latham, Larry Heggs, Don Schlosser and Mayor Debra Button.
