This year's Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship was held on Sunday at the St. Michael Junior High School.

Representatives from Weyburn and area schools met there to determine the top male and female shooters. Contestants from the ages of 10 to 14 attempted 15 shots at the basket, scoring one point for each successful shot.

The first place 10-year-old finishers were Gracyn Kravanya with six points and Justin Claude with seven points. Teagan Paulhus and Kyle Mryglod won the 11-year-old contests with scores of six and eight.

Winning the 12-year-old category were April Hoffman with seven points and Jagger Kozakewich with eight points. The 13-year-old top finishers were Anita Lazurko with eight points and Chad Letkeman with nine points.

Morgan Gibson and Christian Szabo were the top 14-year-old shooters with 10 points and nine points.

All of the first-place finishers along with the runners-up in each category will advance to the district competition to compete against the top shooters from Radville on Sunday, Feb. 25 at St. Michael School.
