Four bowling teams and five singles advanced from the zone playdowns this past weekend and will compete in provincials on Sunday, March 11 in Regina. Out of six singles from Weyburn competing at zones, five advanced to provincials, while four out of six teams advanced. Advancing to singles are Justin Claude in the Bantam boys class, Randi-Lynn Blaquier in the Bantam girls class, Mikyla Jensen in the Junior girls class, Logan Faber in the Junior boys class and Brayden Jensen in the Senior boys class. Coaching the singles is Leslie Walliser. The Bantam boys team of Wade Letkeman, Tanner Quinton, Tyson Eggum, Reece Williams and Rhett Williams advanced to provincials. Advancing in the Bantam girls team class was Alex Hes, Darby Tindall, Aleisha Hallberg, Erika Culbertson and Chelsey Rogal. Jacquie Williams is the coach of the Bantam bowling teams. The Junior boys team consists of Chad Letkeman, Carson Skjerdal, Adam Hoffart, Ryan Lokken and Dylan Ellerback. The Junior boys team is coached by Darla Brenholen. Jada Sweigard, Alyssa Postnikoff, Miranda Kohonick, Chantel Kilback and Erica Williams advanced in the Senior girls team category. They are coached by Linda Grams. The winners from provincials will represent Saskatchewan at nationals in Winnipeg on the first weekend in May. |
