Souris School's sunny face

Students and staff of Souris School gather to take a look at the huge colourful sunny happy face they made out of ice on the school grounds on Wednesday afternoon. The students and staff froze pails and milk cartons with coloured water overnight, and built the sun face with about 200 ice blocks, with each grade responsible for a certain part of the sun's circle or one of the radial arms around it.

Up for the rebound

Comp Eagles player Jill Vinge, centre, reaches up for the rebound as Estevan Elecs jumps with her, during McLeod Series action at the Comp gym on Wednesday evening. Team-mate Sarah Croft is at right, also watching for the rebound. The Comp girls won their portion of the Series by a score of 55-40, and the boys also won by the score of 85-84. With the two wins on Wednesday, the Weyburn Eagles swept the McLeod Series in all four games.
