With the 12th Biennial Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show just under three months away, the show's board has completely sold out of booths. "Everything is happening very early, booths are paid for and nomination forms are coming in" said show manager Marlene Nedelcov. A total of 299 booths have been sold inside the Sports Arena, the Colosseum and outside for the show on Wednesday, June 6 and Thursday, June 7. There are about 37 groups on a waiting list for a booth. "We are hoping to expand the outdoor area. When the ground is wet, like it is right now, it's not firm enough for a booth," said Nedelcov. The organizing committee is still lining up guest speakers for the luncheons on both days and the banquet on Wednesday, June 6. So far, motivational speaker Kevin Burns has been confirmed for the luncheon put on by the Family Place on Thursday, June 7. Some nomination forms for the Southeast Oilman of the Year award have come in. The nomination forms did not make it on to the Oil Show's web site due to technical difficulties, however, forms are still available at the office located behind Prairie Agencies. The Oil Show board is always looking for volunteers to help out during the show and with organizing. If anyone is interested in helping out or would like more information about the show, contact Nedelcov at the Oil & Gas Show office. |
