Players for the Weyburn Senior Beavers are expected to start arriving late May and billets are still needed to provide room and board for these incoming players. Beavers president Garnet Hansen said, "we need at least six more billets."

The Sr. Beavers are also looking for volunteers from the community to help down at the ball field. Residents who want more information about becoming a volunteer or being a billet are asked to contact one of the Beaver executive.

Beavers home games will have an added feature this year, as Great Western has come forward as a potential supplier for beer at the games. There will also be a new fundraiser; with tickets being sold now, Hansen stated that "we are hoping to be able to give away a $500 jackpot at least at the home opener with this 50/50 draw."

The Beavers roster is almost close to done with several players being signed to play with the Weyburn Beavers for the 2007 season. Players are expected to start arriving in Weyburn on Wednesday, May 23.
