Brent Benson and Reid Jackson played at the Minnesota Meltdown AAA hockey tournament over this past weekend with a team called the Stars and Stripes

The team went through the round robin undefeated, picking up wins against the Minnesota Lightning, Team USA Stars and Thunder Bay. In the semifinal, Team Stars and Stripes played the Midwest Predators and were leading 3-0 in the first period when a four-hour power outage occurred.

The semifinals were canceled and the Stars and Stripes met the Manitoba Jr. Falcons with the Falcons winning the final. The Stars and Stripes had players from all over North America including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Minnesota, Arizona, New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey.
