The Saskatchewan Senior Fitness Association, Zone 1, is calling for entries of a poem and/or a short story as an event in the 55 Plus Games. Residents of the southeast, who are 55 years and over and have an SSFA membership, are asked to put their thoughts into words using the theme, "Heart" in relation to physical activity. Entries can be an unpublished poem, 12 to 24 lines in length, and/or an unpublished short story in the range of 350 to 500 words. Each competitor may enter one of each, and the deadline is July 15, 2007. Registration forms and entry rules for poetry and short story, as well as information about other events in the 55 Plus Games, are available by calling Alex Pendrigh, president of Zone 1, of Parry, or Bendt Pedersen of Redvers. Participants must purchase an SSFA membership to be eligible to compete. |
