Planning is underway for the Weyburn Agriculture Society's Fair, which takes place from Monday, July 2 to Wednesday, July 4 at the Exhibition Grounds. The chariot and chuckwagon races will be taking place once again this year. A new group, the Eastern Chariot and Chuckwagon Association, will be putting on the race this year. "They have guaranteed us at least 24 teams, so we will have between 24 to 30 teams this year," said Ag Society manager Sandy Bell. A youth talent show will be taking place with the junior contestants performing on Monday and the senior contestants on Tuesday. Saskatchewan Express will be performing in front of the grandstand on Wednesday. A kids pedal tractor pull will be held and Keegan Duck will be doing magic, face painting and karaoke on all three days. Children's entertainer Doug Campbell will also be performing on all three days. The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce will be holding the Fair parade on Tuesday, July 3. The Weyburn Agriculture Society will also be holding their Ranch Rodeo on Sunday, July 1. |
