Zone Hershey Track Meet hosted by Weyburn Comp

The following are the first and second place winners from the Zone 1 Hershey Track and Field Meet, held on May 29 at the Weyburn Comprehensive School's track.

In the boys nine to 10 division, Brennan Riddle from Estevan Legion Track and Field Club (ELTF) placed first and Austin Stanhope of MacLeod School in Moosomin placed second in the 50 metre dash. Brennan Riddle placed first in the 100 metre dash, followed by Jarrett Metheral from Yellow Grass in second.

Jarrett Metheral placed first in the 200 metre run with Mark Schaff of Carlyle coming in second. Ryker Cole of Carlyle was the winner and Kyle Sargent of Carlyle was second in the 400 metre run.

Brett Messer of Midale was first in the standing long jump with Jarrett Metheral in second. Cameron Evans from Assiniboia Park Elementary School placed first in ball throw followed by Drew Fellner from St. Dominic Savio.

In the girls nine to 10 division, Lindsey McNab of Oxbow came in first, with Drew Fellner from St. Dominic Savio in second in the 50 metre dash. Sabrina Mainil from Queen Elizabeth School won the 100 metre dash and Kristen Skjonsby from ELTF placed second.

Sabrina Mainil placed first in the 200 metre run, with Laurel Oberkirsch from QE placing second. Oberkirsch went on to win the 400 metre run with Kenzie Klein from APES placing second.

Sabrina Mainil was the winner of the standing long jump event, followed by Kristen Skjonsby in second. Erica Robertson from QE was first in ball throw and Kristen Skjonsby placed second.

In the 11-12 boys division, Justin Rubin from QE was first in the 100 metre dash and Chase Frazer from Oxbow Prairie Heights School in second. Rubin and Frazer placed first and second respectively in the 200 metre run as well.

Kolten Cleasby from St. Dominic Savio was first in the 400 metre run and Ryan Liesch from Oxbow Prairie Heights School came in second. Jeremy Frape from MacLeod School in Moosomin finished first in the 800 metre run and Logan Lazurko from QE placed second.

Josh Ferris from Haig School won the standing long jump event and Ben Wallace from St. Dominic Savio placed second. Chase Frazer came in first in the ball throw, with Donovan Lumb from APES in second.

In the 11-12 girls division, Marissa Pirlot from Redvers placed first in the 100 metre dash and Chelsey Schiller from QE placed second. Pirlot also won the 200 metre dash, with Sasha Shupe from APES in second.

Sasha Shupe finished first in the 400 metre run and Renae Fafard of Carlyle placed second. Marissa McCallum of APES finished first in the 800 metre run and Julia Huard of APES came in second.

Marissa McCallum came in first in the standing long jump and Sasha Shupe placed second. In ball throw, Marissa Pirlot came in first and Taylor Osadchuk of Carlyle came in second.

In the 13-14 boys division, James Chamney of ELTF placed first and Dustin Mainil of QE placed second in the 100 metre dash. Chamney and Dustin Mainil also placed first and second respectively in the 200 metre dash.

Josh Forsgren from the Weyburn Junior High was first in the 800 metre run and A.J. Bell from WJH was second. Forsgren also placed first in the 1,600-metre run, followed by Bell.

Carter Struthers from WJH placed first in the standing long jump and James Chamney from ELTF finished in second. Codi Sjostrand of Midale placed first in the ball throw and Charles Stade of ELTF.

In the 13-14 girls division, Brittany Pirlot of Redvers was first in the 100 metre dash, with Starlet Peterson from WJH in second. Brittany Pirlot won the 200 metre dash and Starlet Peterson in second. Anita Lazurko from WJH placed first in the 800 metre run.

Brittany Pirlot won the standing long jump and Toni Underwood from WJH was second. Toni Underwood won the ball throw and Morgan Molde from WJH came in second.
