Bank robber sought

The Weyburn Police Service released these two still images of the suspected bank robber who came in to the TD Bank on Monday morning and demanded cash using a handgun. From the security camera pictures and witnesses, police say the suspect is at least six feet tall or more, and weighs between 200 and 230 pounds. He was wearing the cap shown, sunglasses and a dark zip-up jacket. When last seen after exiting the bank, he headed north on Second Street. If anyone has information about this man or his whereabouts, they are asked to contact the Weyburn Police Service.

Proud to be Canadian!

A group of Souris students show their pride in being Canadian, in anticipation of celebrating Canada's 140th birthday on Sunday, July 1. School is officially out for summer!

Students from the Weyburn Comprehensive School celebrate the fact that their school days are over for the summer with the annual Sunstock on June 19. Sunstock is held on the last day of class before final exams begin at WCS, and the graduation ceremony for students will be held today, June 27.
