A farewell to high school

Graduates Fernanda Gomes, Stacy Dighans, Hirut Gaber and Michelle Vertefeuille throw their arms around each other during the punch reception on Wednesday for the Weyburn Comprehensive School graduation. The reception was taken in by the graduates and their families before the beginning of the graduation ceremony.

Colour Guard at Canada Day celebration

The Royal Canadian Legion Colour Guard lead a large group of followers on Sunday at the Canada Day flag ceremony at the Leisure Centre. Leading the way, from back to front, are dignitaries Mayor Debra Button, Chantelle Seitz on the bagpipes and Sergeant at Arms Walter Jaster. The colour party consisted of Joe Robillard and Jim Achen in the back and Gordon Button and Julian Goski in the front. The Leisure Centre hosted the flag ceremony as well as a loonie swim and children's activities to celebrate Canada's birthday.
