A number of churches in Weyburn are getting prepared for their upcoming Vacation Bible Schools. The Church of Christ will be holding their Vacation Bible School from Monday, July 9, to Friday, July 13. This year's theme will be "Can You Dig It - Discovering Treasures Beneath the Surface." Classes will run from 9 a.m. to noon daily. A group from Winnipeg's Church of Christ will be on hand to help students with crafts, skits, games and fun to bring alive the stories from the Bible during this archeological excursion themed week. Classes are available for ages four and up. An adult class, taught by Scott Wade, minister of the Church of Christ in Weyburn, will focus on "Building Stronger Families." Registration will take place starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 9, at the church. For more information or to pre-register contact the church office. The Grace United Church will be holding their Vacation Bible School from Monday, July 23, to Friday, July 27. The school will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon each day and is open to children between the ages of five and 12. This year's theme is "Heroes of the Bible." Anyone interested in attending can contact the church. The Zion Lutheran Church's Vacation Bible School will be held from Monday, Aug. 13 to Friday, Aug. 17. The theme this year is "Survivor" and the school will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day. It is open to children between the ages of four to 12. The school will feature Jortosh Youth Ministry and will include activities such as puppet shows, music, crafts, drama, games and Bible teachings.
