Jared Durston holds on to the ice cream making bucket as Natalie Hastings takes a turn with the hand crank, as this group of children try their hand at making ice cream the old-fashioned way. Watching at right are Ashley Betker and Kayla Rieger. Durston and Betker were doing the tour at the Heritage Village on Friday, with Rieger leading a group of children from the Signal Hill summer arts program. Many of the children dressed in period costume for the tour, during which they saw many of the buildings in the Village.

Prevented from stealing

Weyburn Senior Beaver first baseman Braden Raskob-Smith (16) reaches to catch an incoming throw from the pitcher, to prevent the St. Albert stealer from taking second base during game action on Friday night. The Beavers played a hard defensive game against St. Albert, keeping the score tied 2-2 into the ninth inning. However a difficult ninth inning gave St. Albert six more runs, and they went home with the win of 8-2. St. Albert won all three games played against the Beavers last weekend.
