Recreating a dress from 1729

Marnelle Rasmussen shows a dress from Italy that dates back to 1729, and her recreation of the dress for a church in Italy. The dress from 1729 came from the Marin SS di Constantinopli church in Rende, Italy. The aunt of Weyburn resident Pino Castriota, who lives in Italy, was looking for someone who could remake the dress for a festival that the church holds every two years. Since seamstresses in Italy were unable to take on the job, Rasmussen remade the dress and completed the task within the timeframe.
