City police holds contest to see the 'Bounty Hunter'

The Weyburn Police Service are holding a contest for four Weyburn youth to attend a presentation by "Dog the Bounty Hunter" in Regina in September.

The presentation is by TV's Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman, who will come to the Brandt Centre on Tuesday, Sept. 11, and there will be four tickets available to be won through the contest, run in conjunction with Urban Edge Event Design Inc.

The contest is open to Weyburn youth aged 11-14 who are graduates of the DARE program (Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education) run by the city police in Grade 6 classes each year in the public and separate school systems.

To enter the contest, entrants need to write a "Dogism" that best describes how they feel about the DARE program. An example of a "Dogism" is, "Six men can carry you, or 12 men can judge you. You decide!"

Contest entries are to be hand-written and dropped off at the Weyburn police station at the corner of Fourth Street and Coteau Avenue. Entries are to be in an enveloped with the name of the entrant and their contact information, attention to Sgt. Dana Pretzer.

The contest deadline is Sept. 1, and contest winners will be advised on Sept. 5.

The "Dog the Bounty Hunter" TV show is televised on the A&E channel on Tuesday nights, and is viewed by millions of viewers each week.
