Foodgrains Bank brings in $4,555

The Canadian Foodgrains Bank raised $4,555 from the non-denominational church service during the Wheat Festival this year.

This money will go towards to purchase of additional food, assist with transportation or to buy and distribute local seeds and tools so families can plant a new crop following drought, flooding or conflict.

The Canadian Foodgrains Bank accepts cash donations which can be directed to church member accounts. Each member decides how these funds will be used.

Most recently, the Canadian Foodgrains Bank added two new members. The Canadian Catholic Organization of Development and Peace and the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund of the Anglican Church.
