Candidates Forum set for Oct. 29

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce will host an All-Candidates Forum for the candidates nominated for Weyburn-Big Muddy, for the Nov. 7 Provincial Election.

This year's All-Candidates Forum will take place on Monday, October 29, at 7 p.m. at the Weyburn Comp Cafetorium. It is an opportunity for voters to hear from their candidates and pose the questions that are important to them. As well, it provides the candidates with an opportunity to be heard.

The moderator for the event will be Brent Allin, vice-president of the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce, who will be asking the candidates formal questions from the Chamber of Commerce. These issues will include the twinning of Highway 39, skilled labour shortage and the Saskatchewan Chamber growth plan.

There will be open microphones on the floor, giving everyone a chance to pose their questions to the candidates. Residents are asked to be as brief as possible with their questions, so that each candidate can have equal opportunity to address the questions.

The event will also be broadcast on Access 7 for voters who are unable to make it to the event. The Weyburn Review will also be publishing a story on the event, in the issue of Wednesday, Oct. 31.
