Donors Choice plan for fall canvassing in Creelman

Creelman (cpd) - Creelman and District Donor's Choice held a meeting Oct. 22 to plan the fall canvas. Mail drops will be going out, to be returned by Monday, Dec. 10. The amount collected in 2006 was $2,100.

Mary McCallum has retired from the executive after 20 years of service. She was a member when the organization was formed in November of 1987. Jean Gottfried has volunteered to go on the executive.

Velma Paterson is accepting memorial donations for all charities except St. Andrew's United Church. Shirley Anslow is still taking care of memorial donations to the United Church.

Prairie Points Pastoral Charge held their meeting in Creelman on Oct. 24 at the Creelman United Church. Members from Fillmore and Creelman were in attendance. Ann Phillips from Stoughton attended, overseeing the meeting when Rev. Heather Lea is on sabbatical.

The Agriculture Society have a musical group coming to Creelman on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 1:30 p.m. Songs of Inspiration Tour 2007 is Fred and Sheila Pelletier and Allison and Clint Pelletier, a dynamic quartet who will take listeners through a musical journey.

Allan and Della Dickie from Black Diamond, Alta., were guests of Eric and Marion Loucks and visited other relatives and friends in the area while here.

Ross McKinnon and son Darwin from Prince George, B.C., spent a few days visiting relatives and friends. They spent time visiting Danny and Vivian Dunn at Froude. They attended the fall supper in Creelman before leaving for home.

Clarence and Betty Dickie have moved to their home in Melville.
