The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce will be holding its Farmer Appreciation Night on Thursday, Nov. 15, and at that time will be presenting the Golden Sheaf Award to recognize excellence in farming achievement.

Nominations for the Golden Sheaf Award are still open, and Chamber manager Jeff Richards said, "I encourage people to renominate producers from previous years."

The Golden Sheaf is awarded based on a farmer's contribution to and participation in the agricultural scene and community life. Nomination forms can be picked up at the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce office or downloaded from their website; the deadline for nominations is Friday, Nov. 7.

A selection committee, comprised of members of the Chamber of Commerce, shall select a suitable recipient from all the applicants nominated, recognizing all nominees at the Farmer Appreciation Night.
