The Family Place's eighth annual Festival of Trees will be hosting their live auction on Thursday, Nov. 22, at 6:30 p.m., with the auction starting at 7:30 p.m. Once again this year the auctioneer will be Kevin Lackey. Only 12 Christmas trees will be auctioned off in the live auction. Two of the trees will be raffled off and the remainder will be used as silent auction items. As of Friday, there were about 40 silent auction items registered and 26 Christmas trees. The Family Place's Christmas raffle tickets are also on sale. First prize is a multicultural feast, second prize is 10 dozen appetizers and the third prize is 10 dozen cookies and dainties. Raffle tickets are available at the Family Place and during the Festival of Trees. The Christmas trees that will be auctioned off will be on display at the City Centre Mall all this week during regular mall hours. All of the proceeds from the Festival of Trees will go towards the Family Place and their programs. Anyone needing further information about the Festival of Trees can contact the Family Place. |
