Santa visits girls in Halbrite

Santa Claus drops in to visit the community of Halbrite, taking a moment to get gift requests from Shelby Goodison, Ashlyn Chessall and Mikayla Goodison during his visit. Santa has been collecting the gift requests of many Weyburn and area children, as he will be making his trip around the world on Monday, December 24. In an e-mail to the Weyburn Review, Santa requested a reminder to all children to get to bed early on Christmas Eve to enable him to deliver all his presents on time. He does not have an estimated time of arrival in the Weyburn area, but a common sign that Santa is here is the bells of his sleigh and the glow from Rudolph's nose.

Wrapping presents together as a family

Lisa, Sam, Jon and Paul Barth wrap Christmas presents together as a family, making every Christmas memory a special one this year. Jon, who is a Sergeant with the Saskatchewan Dragoons, will be taking a six-month tour in Afghanistan starting in January of 2008. Since he and wife Lisa are expecting their third child to be born before he departs, both Jon and Lisa spend as much time as possible over the Christmas holiday planning for the new baby and seeing as much of their family as possible.
