Elves at the North Pole

The Grade 1 and 2 split class of Haig School put on bright colours to play the part of elves at the North Pole in the school Christmas concert on Thursday. This class sang 'Santa's Job is a Snap!', as part of the variety TV performance "Santa's Rockin' Christmas Eve." In the back row, from left to right, are Jesse Thompson, Nathaniel Parisien, Solomiya Shkapoyid and Jarod Wrobel. In the middle row, from left to right, are Caroline Manning, Sydney Hadley, Paige Valentine and Sydney Wanner. In the front are Connor Guenther, Jenna Chessall and Owen Peterson.

Going for a layup

Eagles alumni Britt Pegg goes for a layup while current Eagles Cassandra Ellerbeck and Lydia Niemegeers give chase during the Weyburn Comp Eagles senior girls basketball alumni game at WCS on Thursday. The current Eagle team held a 46-39 lead going into the fourth quarter, but ended up losing the game 62-58.
