Spinning at high speed

Members of the Tavria Ukrainian Dance Ensemble clap in time to the music as a dancer spins at a high speed in front of the group, during a celebration of the Ukrainian Malanka (or New Year's) at the Legion Hall on Saturday evening. The Regina dance troupe put on a series of traditional Ukrainian dances for the large crowd in attendance to celebrate the New Year according to the Julian calendar. The dance performance was held after a banquet of traditional Ukrainian food, and greetings were brought by MP Ed Komarnicki and by Coun. Dave Craigen on behalf of city council.
