Comp trumpeters help out at WJH

Comp band students Kelsey Ermel, left, and Barry Bierman, centre, listen to Weyburn Junior High students Rebecca Neiszner, Adam Fawcett and Dylan Jones play through a selection of music on Wednesday at a special practice session. The Comp students brought their experience and expertise to help the Grade 7 students prepare music for the upcoming Rotary Music Festival, which runs March 3-14 in Weyburn, with performances at the T.C. Douglas Centre and the Comp School.

STARS choir gives tribute to Ag. Society

Derek Hansen, Holly Andrews, Dalton Mainil and Kendra Weimer sing about how ranchers and farmers should be friends, during a musical tribute to the Weyburn Agricultural Society at a centennial kick-off banquet on February 11. The Ag. Society banquet was held to honour all past presidents and secretaries of the organization, with the STARS choir performing a special musical tribute to the Weyburn Fair.
