Happy Easter! Happy Spring!

Jessica Bell, Taelynn Bell, Reese Moore and Amanda Daer welcome a newborn calf at the Garry Moore farm near Trossachs. Calving season for area farmers has officially started, as spring quickly approaches. Tomorrow is the first day of spring and many area farmers will be busy with calving season, welcoming other new animal births and preparing for seeding season. Schools in the area will also be enjoying a spring break, as the Easter holiday will be observed this weekend, followed by a week off from school for students.

Using music to test reflexes

Youth anxious to test their reflexes by playing musical instruments make a science project completed by Dylan Griep and Travis Lubiens of Fillmore 33 Central School a popular attraction. The southeast regional science fair was hosted by the Fillmore 33 Central on Wednesday, with the winners of this event proceeding to the Canada Wide Science Fair, which will be held in Ottawa.
