Weyburn fire fighter Marc Schweitzer straps on a fireman's breathing apparatus as a motion alarm sounds off, during a presentation he made to a Grade 4 classroom at St. Dominic Savio on Wednesday. Schweitzer has been with the Fire Department for two months since taking his fire fighting course; he had been a volunteer for the department while he was a player for the Weyburn Red Wings. He went over a fire prevention booklet with the students, and one will have their name drawn to go have lunch with him later this spring.

The recipients of the Women of the Year for 2008 are recognized at a luncheon hosted by SaskPower and Quota International of Weyburn on April 8.
