EnCana holding open house

EnCana will be celebrating their 10th anniversary of their CO2 enhanced oil recovery project with an open house from 2 to 7 p.m. at McKenna Hall on Thursday, April 24.

This open house will provide information of EnCana's operations, engage guests on their local plans for 2008 and recognize their relationship with the community.

Winners and participants from EnCana's Safety Poster Contest will be on display at the open house and a community investment donation will be announced at about 5 p.m.

Patrons can stop by at their convenience to chat with EnCana's representatives throughout the afternoon and stay to enjoy some light supper and entertainment.

Since 1997, when the projected first started, the CO2 injection process has significantly enhanced the recovery of oil left behind by other methods of recovery. In addition to this business success, the Weyburn oilfield is proven to be an exceptional geological location to sequester a greenhouse gas.
