Weyburn Early Childhood Prevention Program (ECIP) will be holding the presentation, "Nine Ways To Bring the Best out of You and Your Children" by Maggie Reigh. The presentation will be taking place on Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Weyburn Free Methodist Church. Reigh, a former Weyburn resident better known as Peggy Pulfer, is making her second trip back to Weyburn after presenting "Taking the Terror out of Temper Tantrums" about a year ago. Her presentation will be about how to improve parenting skills and avoid patterns in parenting that you may not want. She will also present ways to discipline children while still being encouraging, self-motivating and leaves the children with a good work ethic. Reigh will present about power struggles between parents and children and how to deal with it. She said that her presentation is fun and interactive. "There may be a lot of people, but there will be plenty of interaction and it will leave you with powerful tools and inspiration," said Reigh. Registration forms are available at the ECIP office and cost $10 per family. There is a limit of 100 people and it is by advance registration only. For further information, contact Christine Doud at the ECIP office. |
