Teams for the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life are busying holding fundraising events throughout Weyburn in the month of May.

On Thursday, May 1, the Sockin' It To Cancer team will be holding a barbecue at Marks Work Wear Store from 4 to 8 p.m. A hamburger and a pop costs $5. The Dream Weavers team will be holding a garage sale on Thursday, May 1, from 4 to 9 p.m. and Friday, May 2, from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Assiniboia Park Elementary School.

The Breakfast Club team will be holding a garage sale at 138 Birch Drive. It will be taking place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 1; 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 2; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.

A hot-dog and hamburger barbecue will be taking place at the Weyburn Credit Union courtyard/community room from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Battling For a Cure team on Thursday, May 8. On Saturday, May 10, Sockin' It To Cancer will be holding smokies on a bun in the parking lot of Detour's Bar and Grill from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $5.

A barbecue for the Great Plains Mustangs team will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Great Plains Ford on Thursday, May 15. The Roaring Lioness Prowlers will have a barbecue at the Canadian Cancer Society office from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 16.

Papa Joe's Girls will have a table at the Farmer's Market at City Centre Mall on Saturday, May 17, and they will be holding a garage sale on Thursday, May 22, from 1 to 8 p.m.; Friday, May 23, from 1 to 8 p.m.; and Saturday, May 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 273 Onstad Crescent.

On Friday, May 23, the Stubblejumpers team is having a garage sale at 809 Washington Drive. This includes a draw for a coffee gift basket with a $50 Tim Horton's gift card and kitchen/coffee supplies. Tickets are $1 each.

The Great Plains Mustangs are selling raffle tickets for a men's and ladies gift baskets. Home Interiors candle will be for sale with half of the proceeds going towards Relay for Life. Contact Great Plain Mustangs team captain Bonnie Ernst for more information about the candle sales.

The Barber Motors team will be selling raffle tickets for numerous Weyburn restaurants and a free oil change from Barber Motors. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5. Contact Kathy at Barber Motors for more information.
