School takes stand against bullying

Staff and students of the Weyburn Junior High gather out front of the school, displaying their "Don't Stand By - Stand Up" theme on Friday, as they join the Think Pink Anti-Bullying campaign. The Think Pink Anti-Bullying campaign was originally started in Nova Scotia, with many high schools across the nation taking the pledge to prevent bullying in their school system. At the Weyburn Junior High, students in leadership roles from the Student Activity Council (SAC) and Cobra MALT Squads signed a pledge to do their part to prevent bullying in the community, which will include continuing the Think Pink campaign throughout the school year. There are plans to introduce the Think Pink campaign into the elementary schools, with leaders from the Weyburn Junior High taking the initiative to talk to the younger students.
