Record high set in April for the City of Weyburn

One record high was broken during April for the City of Weyburn, with temperatures ranging close to average and low precipitation.

On April 14, the temperature rose to a maximum high of 27.5 degrees, which also broke the record temperature for that date of 26.0 degrees set in 1958 and 1963. The average maximum temperature for the month was 12.20 degrees, two degrees higher than the long-term average of 10.79 degrees.

There were three dates that hit the minimum low of -10 degrees in April, those being April 2, April 6 and April 23. The average minimum temperature for the month was -2.65 degrees, slightly colder than the long-term average of -2.06 degrees.

The mean temperature of April was 4.78 degrees, slightly warmer than the long-term average of 4.37 degrees.

Total precipitation received in April was 18.0 mm (water equivalent), a sharp decrease from the long-term average of 29.1 mm. The total winter precipitation from October 1 to the end of April was 126.0 mm, a decrease from the long-term average of 132.8 mm.
