Support from a friend for cancer survivor

Hailey Bedore holds hands with Jola Bell, a young cancer survivor, during the Survivor's Lap at Relay For Life on Friday evening. Every year, the Weyburn chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society helps organize Relay For Life, in an effort to raise funds for cancer research. Jola has been battling cancer since she was just three years old, and will be receiving her last chemotherapy treatment on June 11.

Leap of faith

Kelsey Fradette from Pangman School catches a piece of the bar during the Senior girls high jump event at the district track meet at the Weyburn Comprehensive School on Friday. The top athletes in each event at district will qualify for the provincial track meet, which takes place on Friday, June 6, and Saturday, June 7, in Regina.
