On your mark, get set, go

Competitors in the boys nine and 10-year-old 50 metre race take their mark during the district Hershey's track and field meet on Wednesday at the Weyburn Comprehensive School. From back to front are Bryden Rumpel, Jace Woods, Dallas Slastakin, Sheldon Kubashek, Nicholas Cuthbert and Bailey Hall. Woods and Cuthbert were the top two finishers and advance to the provincial Hershey's track meet on Saturday, June 21, in Saskatoon.

Brass and percussion sections show their stuff

Members of the Weyburn Junior High Grade 7 band brass and percussion sections play a tune for a demonstration on Wednesday at the school. The Grade 7 band gave a demonstration for the Grade 6 students from the local elementary schools, while the school held their annual spring band concert in the evening for the general public.
