Running a sponge relay

This relay was one of the activities played by students on their playday on Wednesday, with students having fun together as the school semester winds down for another year.

Ag. Society prepares for centennial

Dustin Duncan, MLA of Weyburn-Big Muddy, and Raymond Wahl, president of the Weyburn Agricultural Society, at centre, prepare for the upcoming centennial fair by performing a mock ribbon cutting. Helping cut the ribbon, from left to right, are Ag. Society second vice president, Wendy Neiszner; Reeve of the RM of Weyburn, Carmen Sterling; director of the Ag. Society Beryl Tytlandsvik; and Ag. Society secretary Sandy Bell. The Weyburn Ag. Society will be celebrating 100 years with their annual fair this year, with fair dates set on Monday, June 30, Tuesday, July 1, and Friday, July 2. The first day of the fair will include the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce fair parade at 10:30 a.m. and opening ceremonies held at the exhibition grandstands at 7:30 p.m. Attending dignitaries to the ceremonies include the Honourable Lt. Governor of Saskatchewan, Dr. Gordon L. Barnhardt; MP Ed Komarnicki, Souris-Moose Mountain; MLA Dustin Duncan, Weyburn-Big Muddy; Mayor of Weyburn, Debra Button; and the Reeve of the RM of Weyburn, Carmen Sterling.
